RBD 2026 Block of the Month – Block 3

Tuesday Sewing Update

Block 3 is officially stitched, pressed, and added to the growing stack, and this one was such a joy to make. I love how each month in the RBD 2026 Block of the Month Challenge introduces a new little twist — just enough to keep things interesting while still feeling approachable and fun.

Even though all my fabrics were pulled months ago for this year‑long project, there’s still something satisfying about laying out each month’s pieces (or I should say every Tuesday's) and seeing the next block begin to take shape. A fresh set of cuts always feels like a tiny reset.

Loving these colors together already

With everything trimmed and sorted, the block starts to reveal its personality. These pinks, greens, and soft neutrals have been such a beautiful palette to work with all year.

Units coming together — this block is such a fun build

As the half‑square triangles and flying‑geese‑style units come together, the personality of the block really starts to shine. This month’s design has such a sweet balance of movement and symmetry.

Block 3 finished! “Starry Bloom” is a beauty

Here she is — pressed, crisp, and ready to join the others. The Starry Bloom block is full of charm, and I love how the colors play together in the final layout.

I’m already looking forward to next Tuesday’s sewing session and the chance to keep building this quilt, one story‑filled block at a time
