At Lazy Daisy Creations, we believe every quilt tells a story—and the quilting is the final chapter. Whether you're crafting a gift for someone dear or preserving a memory in fabric, your quilt top is a labor of love. Our longarm quilting services are here to honor that love with stitching that enhances, complements, and completes your masterpiece.

We offer a variety of quilting styles, from classic edge-to-edge patterns to light custom work that adds just the right touch of personality. Whether you prefer soft swirls, rustic feathers, or whimsical florals, we’ll help you choose a design that brings your vision to life.

How It Works:
Simply send or Drop off your quilt top and backing, and your choice of batting --pressed 

Backing Guidelines:

• Back should be at least 3" larger on each side (i.e. 6" wider and 6" longer than your quilt top)

• Do not baste your layers together — longarm quilting requires the layers to be separate.

• Backing should be square (cut on grain and pressed flat).

• If using pieced backing, remove selvages from seams and press open.

• Pre-wash backing and batting only if your quilt top is also pre-washed.

• No sheets as backing — they're often too tightly woven and cause tension issues.

Batting

At Lazy Daisy Creations, we ask that you provide your own batting so you can choose the perfect feel and finish for your quilt. Not sure where to start? Here are two tried-and-true options we recommend:

• 
  80/20 Cotton/Poly Blend

  • This blend—typically 80% cotton and 20% polyester—offers the best of both worlds. It’s soft and breathable like cotton, but the touch of polyester adds durability and a bit more loft. It resists shrinkage and holds up beautifully to frequent washing, making it a great choice for everyday quilts and gifts that will be well-loved and well-used.

• 100% Cotton Batting-

  • If you’re after that classic, natural drape and a slightly flatter finish, 100% cotton is a timeless favorite. It’s ideal for heirloom quilts and those who love a traditional, cozy weight. Cotton breathes well and softens beautifully over time, giving your quilt that well-worn, much-loved feel.

A Few Tips:

• Choose a batting that’s at least 3" larger on all sides than your quilt top. (i.e. 6" wider and 6" longer than your quilt top)

• Avoid high-loft battings unless you’re going for a puffy, comforter-style finish

 

We’ll work with you to select a design that suits your quilt’s personality and purpose. Once complete, your quilt will be returned to you ready to bind and treasure.
